3M Gap In Valuation Could Jeopardise Rangers’ Attempts To Snap Up 9 Goal Championship Star

Rangers and Blackpool could struggle to find common ground if they open negotiations over a deal for striker Jerry Yates, according to reports.

It is believed that the Gers are only prepared to pay £2m for the 25-year-old, who has scored nine goals in the English Championship this season.

Last month, it was revealed that Blackpool had slapped a £5m asking price on Yates so there is a sizeable gap in valuations between the two clubs that may be impossible to bridge.

Blackpool will believe that they are well placed to stand firm on the price tag. Reports suggest that there are nine other teams interested in signing the forward.

Bournemouth and Brentford are said to be among the clubs pursuing Yates, with a number of scouts having watched his performances in recent weeks. It does appear as if Rangers could be priced out of a move for the player.
