West Ham have made an enquiry for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to reports in the UK.
The Finnish international is said to have impressed Hammers boss David Moyes with his performances at the European Championships and they have now made a formal approach to gauge the player’s asking price.
Fans on Twitter have been discussing the transfer fee that the Light Blues should hold out for if West Ham do table a bid for Kamara:
£15mill at least
— Gareth Brown (@ScottishBear21) July 14, 2021
Start at £20M
— Andy Currie (@AndyCurrie9) July 14, 2021
£17-25m with a 20% Sell on
— S. O'Brien (@TheRealStevie18) July 14, 2021
Starts at 20. 15 is too low

When you consider the fees banded about by EPL teams, anything less than £20m is a bargain for whoever gets him.
Really should be looking for £25m+ if you ask me ??

I'd take at least 18 million with a 20 % sell on
— James (@James81418515) July 14, 2021
18million.
We’re better off cashing in on him now, he’s only got 2 years left and I doubt he’ll sign a new deal
— Alex? (@Alex72rfc) July 14, 2021
I would be happy with a fee of £15-£20 million with a healthy sell on.

There are a number of factors that need to be taken into account. First of all, Kamara has two years left on his contract so the Gers are not under any pressure to sell.
However, the 25-year-old has not yet agreed an extension so there will be concerns about letting him run down his current deal any further. Even if that does happen, though, the midfielder has plenty of suitors which could help maintain his price tag.
Arsenal, Brentford, Watford, Everton, Leeds and clubs from abroad are also said to be keeping tabs on Kamara.
